Don’t let a little fastener become a big problem. LOCTITE® threadlockers are superior to mechanical locking devices for the assembly of threaded fasteners. LOCTITE® threadlockers are single component- making it easier than ever to clean and apply product to your application. LOCTITE® threadlockers come in liquid and semisolid form that eliminates the need to inventory a large number of shapes and sizes of mechanical locking devices. These solutions seal threads together while preventing unwanted movement, vibrational loosening, and corrosion. There are many different strengths of threadlockers offered, and they can be used on a variety of fasteners, reducing inventory costs. Low strength threadlockers like LOCTITE® 220™ and LOCTITE® 222MS™ are ideal for assemblies with a fastener size up to 1/4 inch. Medium strength threadlockers such as LOCTITE 243™ and LOCTITE® 248™ work great with 1/4 inch -3/4 inch fasteners. LOCTITE® 263™ and LOCTITE® 277™ are high strength threadlocker options that offer excellent adhesion to fasteners up to one inch. It is recommended to use a LOCTITE® primer before applying any threadlocker to speed cure times. It is especially recommended for applications using passive metals (Aluminum, stainless steel, magnesium, etc) and inert surfaces.
